Decca Broadway is the largest label devoted to original cast recordings and reissues of classic musical theater. For over 75 years Decca has lead the way in bringing the best of Broadway music to the American public. Across the globe Universal Music Group is the leader in theater recordings and controls the largest market share in Broadway music not just in the US but also in the UK, Japan and Europe.

Decca issued the first cast album in history, Oklahoma!, in 1943. Since that time the label has been at the forefront of cast recordings. The unsurpassed catalogue includes everything from such classics as Carousel (1946), Guys and Dolls (1950), Man of La Mancha (1965), Pippin (1971), Mack and Mabel (1974), Dreamgirls (1981) to MAMMA MIA!, Rent, Elton John’s Billy Elliot and the Grammy Award-winning blockbusters Wicked, Spamalot and Spring Awakening. In addition, Decca Broadway is proud to feature the musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber, the most successful composer in Broadway history.
